Bobbie Gene Hubbard, a son of John Henry Hubbard and Elizabeth "Eliza" Ann Houston Hubbard.

He attended school and graduated from Pride High School in Caldwell County. He worked construction for many years alongside his father and brothers. He was employed by Gulf Supply in Corpus Christi for more than twenty years. He relocated to Austin, Texas in 1985 and worked as a professional truck driver for more than twenty years until his retirement in 2008. He was very active as a little league coach and later as a coach, umpire and officer with the Westside Pony League in Corpus Christi. He coached and mentored his two sons and his daughter, as well as many kids in the community. He taught values, work ethic and taught them how to be respectful gentlemen and good sports. He was one of the first coaches to have a girl on an all boy's baseball team. He was that guy, he saw no race, culture etc., he only saw children who needed a strong role model. He will be forever remembered as a great father, husband and around family man. He was a faithful and active member of Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Hazel Harris; brother Charles Henry Hubbard, Sr. and his precious daughter Melanie Linnet Hubbard.

He leaves to ever cherish his memories, his wife Josephine Haywood Hubbard; sister, Betty Joyce Hubbard of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Robbie Eugene Hubbard of Houston, Texas; Tommy Lee Hubbard of Corpus Christi, Texas; Clifton Roy Hubbard, Sr. of Manor, Texas; daughter Barbara Ann Hubbard of San Antonio, Texas; two sons, David Glen Hubbard and Christopher Wayne Hubbard, both of Austin, Texas; four grandsons, one great-grandson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister in-laws and many friends.
