MRS. P. J. ELLIOTT DIES IN TEXAS CITY

A former Hillsboro Resident Passed away on Aug. 22

Mrs. P. J. Elliott, former resident of Hillsboro, passed away on Thursday, August 22, at LaFeria, Texas, according to word received in the city this week. Mrs. Elliott who was 73 years old aty the time of death had been a resident of LaFeria for th past 12 years. She died of paralysis at the home of her son, Floyd E. Elliott, at 6:30 a. m.
Mrs. Elliott, nee Hannah Goodwin Turner, is a native of Wisconsin and was married on February 11, 1880. Most of her life she spent in Hillsboro, leaving the city in 1917 for LaFeria, Texas. She had enjoyed good health most of the time, passing away peacefully after a short illness.
Besides her husband, seven adult children survive, Mrs. Elliott. They are John Francis of Clayton, Ill., J. J. Elliott of Starkweather, N. Dak., William P. Elliott of Minneapolis, Harry I. Elliott of Conrad, Mont., Mrs. Carl G. E. Johnson of Portland, Oregon, Mrs Harry Toppin of St. Petersurng, Florida, and Floyd C. Elliott of LaFeria, Texas.
Due to the fact that each of the seven children lives in a different state and some were on vacations, Floyd C. Elliott of LaFeria had difficulty in completing funeral arrangements. The children were all there for the funeral however, excepting John of Clayton, Ill., and Harry of Conrad, Montana. Relatives of Hillsboro who were present at the ceremonies include Irvin J. Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ellott and family.
