Ella Ruth Rose was born on April 25, 1937, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Clyde and Ida (Jordan) Grove. She grew up in the Meeker area attending Meeker Public Schools. Following her education she married James “Jim” David Rose on December 12, 1963, and they made their home in the Meeker area. She served her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, crocheting, and loved spending time with her family. She was of the baptist faith. On October 30, 2017, Jim preceded her in death and she continued to live in Meeker.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother-in-law, Mike Kline; two sisters-in-law, Judith Wilson, and Helen Rose; one niece, Marcia (Kline) Ebers.
Ella is survived by two sons, David Wendell Coffey and husband, Forrest Billingsley, of Guthrie and Wesley Paul Coffey, of Meeker; one daughter, Susan Janelle (Rose) Steele and husband, Shannon, of Tulsa; one sister, Carolann Kline of Chandler; grandchildren, Stephanie Rose Steele, of Norman and Sarah Nicole (Steele) Martin and husband Ryan of Edmond; great grandchildren, Canaan James Martin and Elaina Rose Martin of Edmond; one brother -in-law, Larry Eugene Rose, of Shawnee; two nephews, Seth Kline and wife Tammy of Chandler, Bill Rose and wife Debra of Yuma, Arizona; one niece, Dana Slayton and husband Gary, Boise, Idaho; and many other family and friends.
Family will be at the funeral home in Prague Friday, November 1, 2019, from 6:00 pm, till 8:00 pm to greet with friends and family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at 2:00 pm in the Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
A memorial has been established in her memory to the Grove School Library Fund, Shawnee, Oklahoma.
