YORK TOWNSHIP Edna J. Swank Brenneman, 88, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at home. She was the wife of Clair Swank, who passed away January 4, 1957, and Ray Brenneman, who passed away February 10, 1990. Born March 29, 1919, in Northumberland County, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Nora (Leitzel) Brosius. Edna attended Codorus Church of the Brethren. She worked at Smith Village and was a retired employee of Dallastown Area School District. Edna is survived by a daughter, Patsy Markey and her husband, Ray; stepson, Phillip Brenneman and his wife, Audrey; a stepdaughter-in-law, Donna Brenneman; and a stepdaughter, Sandra Brenneman; in addition to four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren. Edna was preceded in death by a stepson, David Brenneman; one sister; and three brothers. A time of visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by a funeral service at Codorus Church of the Brethren, 1129 Dunkard Valley Road, Loganville. Richard J. Fischl will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Robert M. Goodling Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
