ALVIN F. FRESE, 82, died at 9:10 a.m. May 11, 1995, in Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton.
He was born April 27, 1913 in Cleveland to Edward and Florence (Beyer) Frese.
On Dec.13, 1945, he married Laura Hull, who survives.
Mr. Frese was retired from Industrial Fire Protection of Lima as a desgin engineer. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275, Elks Lodge 54, and Masonic Lodge 706. He was an avid golfer and an Army veteran, having served in the 82nd Airborne Division during World War II.
Survivors also include three sons, Roger Frese of Coldwater, Carl Fese of Fort Meyers Beach, Fla. and Donald Frese of Lima; a brother, Ray Frese of Cambridge; two half brothers, Norman Frese of Wapakoneta and Larry Frese of Lima; a stepsister, Phyllis Smith of Lima; a half sister, Doris Engle of Lima; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Freddie Frese.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Siferd Westwood Chapel.
The Rev. Richard Steigleder will officiate.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites by the V.F.W.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
