The funeral of Van Fonda was held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 in the Trevett funeral home. The Rev. F. Dean Banta of the Baptist Church officiated. There were floral tributes from the knitting room of the Broadalbin Knitting company, mending room, dyeing room and finishing departments of the company; neighbors, friends and relatives. The bearers were Gilbert Jeans, Earl Ferguson, Georgo Dorman and Nelson Wood. Burial was in the Broadalbin Cemetery. Amsterdam NY Daily Democrat and Recorder, Monday, November 8, 1943.
