She was loved by many and will be missed.Born April 6, 1912 in Glenwood, Utah to Niels Peter and Emma Pearl Hendrickson. She married Richard Farnell Shingleton of Hampstead, North Carolina November 19, 1930 in the Manti Temple. Maurine was well known for her contagious laugh and her ability to build lasting friendships wherever she went. She was a loving and supportive wife who formally co-owned and managed Shingleton's Sewing Center with her now reunited eternal companion, Farnell. She was very active in the LDS Church, holding numerous church positions and has "Endured to the End." She has led a truly exemplary life for her descendants.
Survived by children, LaNae MacBan, Las Vegas, NV; Nadeane Hardy and Dr. Richard Shingleton, both Salt Lake City; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Kenneth Hendrickson, Richfield; Gail Hendrickson, Jerome, ID. Preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, three brothers; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 1997, at 11 a.m. at Parleys 3rd Ward, 2615 East Stringham Avenue. Friends may call form 9:30-10:30 prior to services at the church. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park. Funeral directors, Cottonwood Mortuary.
