Emmett Stephen Flippin, Jr., 76, of Conley, GA passed away peacefully Sunday, October 20, 2019 at home. S

teve, as everyone knew him by, was born April 10, 1943 to Constance Evans. He joined the United States Air Force and served for several years. Steve attended Rock Springs Baptist Church, he enjoyed reading his Bible and loved his daily prayer time.

To know Steve was to know a truly God fearing man. Steve never met a stranger and could talk the day away. He enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, taking care of his cats, and his family. He loved his family. He looked forward to his daily talks with his son and visits with his mother.

Steve is preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Myrna Ann Flippin; and his stepfather, James D. Evans.

He is survived by his current wife, Sandy Montgomery; his mother, Constance Evans, his sister, Bernice Hoff; his son, Aubrey Van Suttles, granddaughter, Jennifer Leigh Youngs; great-granddaughters, Kinleigh, Lola and Parker; step-daughters, Carolyn Hindman (Rodney) and Dorothy Yonce (Glenn); along with grandchildren; Heather, Rodney, Tiffany and Dale.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11:00am. Interment will follow the service at Forest Hills Cemetery in Forest Park, GA with military honors.
