She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Arthur E. McNary; a son, Arthur E. McNary, Jr. of Marlborough; two daughters, Myra Beth Brennan, of Manchaug, MA, and Cheryl Sue Hawkins of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Mike Dykema in Arizona; two sisters, Pearl Meeuwsen, of Muskegon, MI and Alma Gunnema, of Zeeland, MI; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was born on September 19, 1926, in Hudsonville, MI, a daughter of Peter and Jennie (Marlink) Dykema.
She grew up in Hudsonville, and lived in South Windsor for many years prior to moving here three years ago.
She graduated from Hudsonville Christian School and she attended Calvin College.
She was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mrs. McNary worked at the Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance Company in Hartford for 18 years, retiring in 1989.
She was a long time member of the Avery Street Christian Reformed Church, in South Windsor, and she was a Red Cross volunteer.
She enjoyed gardening, walking and traveling.
A funeral was held in the Carr Funeral Home, [www.carrfuneralhome.com], Whitinsville, MA.
Burial was in South Sutton Cemetery.
