Henry Batson Rites Held At Mt. Zion

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Mt. Zion United Brethren church for Henry Batson, 77, farmer, who died Saturday at his home in Salamonie township, Huntington county. Death was attributed to apoplexy, following an illness of three years.
Born Feb. 11, 1868, in Jackson township, the decedent was a son of Benjamin C. and Alice Davis Batson. He was united in marriage Nov. 12, 1892, to Sara Estella Neff, who survives.
Mr. Batson was an active member of the Mt. Zion United Brethren church and was a resident of Huntington county the past 35 years.
Surviving besides the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Etta Alexander, of Oblong, Ill., and Mrs. Agnes Howard, of Fort Wayne; and a sister, Mrs. Alice Dawson, of Bluffton route 3. A daughter, Mrs. Gladys Sprowl, and two brothers are deceased.
The services will be in charge of Rev. Walter Strickler, assisted by Rev. C. H. Slusher and Rev. C. E. Stratton. Burial will be in the Jones cemetery.
