Robert Sneed left a will in which he named his heirs. His wife is not mentioned and we may infer she was deceased at the time the will was written.
(Will of Robert Sneed: Wake County, North Carolina Wills, Inventories and Settlements 1845-1850, page 169; executed 24 Mar 1841; recorded August, 1846).

There are no written records of the earliest burials within the Finch-Sneed Cemetery. Robert Sneed is identified as being buried in the "Sneed Cemetery" on Six Forks Road by family historian Bill Sneed based on long standing oral tradition derived from Robert Sneed's granddaughter, Lucy (Sneed) Finch (1849-1941), a daughter of John Sneed and Sarah (Aycock) Sneed. She also identified her parents, John Sneed and Sarah (Aycock) Sneed, as being buried in the Finch-Sneed Cemetery.

Robert Sneed's grandson, Junius Sneed (1848-1921), son of John Sneed and Sarah (Aycock) Sneed, is buried in the Finch-Sneed Cemetery. His death certificate records his place of burial as the "family cemetery."

Charles Sneed (born June 1820 per the 1900 Census; living, 14 Jul 1902, when he applied for a Confederate Veteran's Pension), a son of John Sneed and Sarah (Aycock) Sneed, and grandson of Robert Sneed, is buried in the Finch-Sneed Cemetery. He is enumerated in the 1880 census, age given as 54 yrs, residing in Wake Co., NC with his brothers, Taylor, aged 60 yrs; Jacob Sneed, aged 54 yrs; Ransom Sneed, aged 38 yrs; Junius Sneed, aged 28 yrs; and sister, Mary Ann Bishop, aged 40 years. Please note the ages given for the family members vary from census to census, not uncommon for these earlier census enumerations.

The "Miss Kate Sneed" who died 11 Sep 1887 and is buried in the Finch-Sneed Cemetery is very likely the Catherine Sneed enumerated in the household of John Sneed and Sarah (Aycock) Sneed in the 1850 census, aged 6 years old. Catherine Sneed is enumerated in the household of Charles Sneed, residing in Wake Co., NC, in the 1860 census, aged 16 years old. Unfortunately, she has not been found in either the 1870 or 1880 census.
