Carol was born May 14, 1939, in Monmouth, Illinois, to Harold and Grace (Honsman) Sage.
She lived most of her life in Connersville, Indiana, where she was employed by Design & Manufacturing, Visteon, and most recently for many years as a QMA at Lincoln Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family, oil painting, and the companionship of her "grand dogs."
Survivors include her son Martin Weimer and wife Debra of Loudon, Tennessee; son Brian Buckley and wife Kay of Fishers, Indiana; daughter and selfless caregiver, Wendy Buckley of Bloomington, Indiana; sister Violet Welty of Galesburg, Illinois; sister Colleen Larkins of Galesburg; sister Darlene Moffet of Monmouth; brother Joe Sage of Ocala, Florida; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cheri Ailes.
Cremation rites have been accorded. The family will hold a private celebration of life.
