On May 23, 2013 Doreen (Dodie) Nichols of Island Lake passed away at the age of 73. Dodie left to mourn: Her husband Grant; two sons, Doug and Ian (Bonnie); Four Grandsons, Coby, Quinten, Hunter & Kalan. She also leaves five sisters and four brothers. She was Pre-Deceased by her parents Paul & Marie- Anne Montpetit and one sister Jeannine. A Christian Mass was held for Doreen on Tuesday May, 28 at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Limino Zamora Officiating. Donations in Doreen’s honor are being directed to the Athabasca Healthcare Auxiliary Association or the Cross Cancer Institute.
