Jimmy was born on February 10, 1938 in Sedan, Oklahoma to Auba and Stonewall Jackson Huddleston and grew up in Mountain View, Meers, Cooperton and Cache, Oklahoma. He graduated from Cache High School in 1956 and would later attend Cameron University. He served in the US Navy as a corpsman from 1956-1960. In 1960, Jimmy & Stoney, his brother, bought Cache Funeral Home and in 1970 opened Huddleston’s Funeral Home in Lawton. After his retirement from the funeral home he worked for Security Bank & Trust until his second retirement. He was a member of Northwest Church of Christ.
Jimmy was gifted with many talents and abilities. He taught himself to play the fiddle when he was in his mid-50's and loved to perform for others. He had quite an ability to spin yarns and many enjoyed his stories from “When Jimmy was a pup.” He also was a Master Craftsman at woodworking, having built his family's home from the basement up and pouring his love into beautiful hand-made wooden furniture and rocking horses for the grandchildren.
