Ruth Eleanor Snodgrass, 92, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1993 at the Sigourney Care Center.

She was born in Delta, graduated from Delta High School and clerked at the Delta Mercantile Store for many years.

She married Ralph Brokaw Snodgrass. They farmed in the Delta and Hayesville areas. They were charter members of the Hayesville Church. They retired and moved to Sigourney.

She was a member of the Sigourney United Methodist Church; Aspasia Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; and Chastine Goodwill Club.

She is survived by a sister, Edith Norman; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, April 23, 1979; four brothers, Ernest, Louis, James and Marshall Sturdevant; and three sisters, Mildred Barlow, Belle Sturdevant, and Anna Sturdevant.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. at Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Sigourney, with Rev. Danny Lemons officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sigourney.
