Allan Montgomery Goodlett, Jr., 72, died January 7, 2012.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Allan M. Goodlett, Sr. and Louise Vernon Goodlett.

Mr. Goodlett was a graduate of Furman University and Western Carolina University and did extra graduate work at the University of SC. He was a retired school principal in the Greenville County School System. He was a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church, where he formerly served as a Deacon, and was a Mason and former member of the Greenville Optomist Club.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his four children and ten grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Fourth Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Patricia Gwinn officiating. Burial will follow in Springwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Walker McSween Scholarship Fund at Fourth Presbyterian Church, 703 East Washington Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
