Merida H. Braswell, 66, a native of Wakulla County who had resided here for the last quarter of a century, died March 19, 1949, at the Tallahassee Memorial hospital early last night. Braswell had been seriously ill since last Thursday when he was stricken shortly before noon. He was rushed to the hospital. Funeral services will be held in the Culley Funeral Home Monday at 3 PM and burial will be in the Whiddon Lake cemetery in Wakulla County. Rev. H. C. Meador, pastor of the Lakeview Baptist church here, will be in charge. Braswell was a member of the Whiddon Lake Primitive Baptist church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Zora Braswell of 1315 North Bronough Street and 3 sons and 3 daughters, all of Tallahassee. They are: Charles H., G. W. and John W., Mrs. C. E. Seever, Mrs. M. B. Hirt and Mrs. E. J. Hatcher. There also are nine grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Braswell's nephews, Jack Eubanks, George Eubanks, Emmett Eubanks, Elbert Eubanks, Ernest Eubanks, Morris Eubanks and Clifton Roddenberry.
