OBITUARY OF LEOLA FERN JAMESON
Funeral services for Fern Jameson, 88, of Colorado and formerly of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist Church with Bro. Matt Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.

Fern was born in Amarillo, TX on December 30, 1930 to Charles Robert and Florence Emalyn (Bailey) Duncan and passed away on October 10, 2019 at Brookdale at Monument Valley, Colorado Springs, CO. She married James "Jim" H. Jameson on August 4, 1951 in Lubbock, TX. Fern was an active and long time member of First United Methodist Church and served as church secretary and was a member of the Bell Choir for many years. She was "Mrs. Lovington, NM" in 1960 and was a past president of PEO and a member for fifty years. She was a Garden Club member, Methodist Women's Group member and a Nor-Lea Hospital Auxiliary member. Fern retired from Lea Soil and Water Conservation District. She was a busy and well- loved lady that stayed very active in the community.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her son: Steve Jameson and her husband Jim Jameson.

Surviving her is her daughter, Jamie Jameson Calnan of Colorado Springs, Co and eight grandchildren: Eric, Clint & and Dusty Calnan, Randy and Daniel Pope, Summer Walters, Hannah and Sam Jameson; also eight great-grandchildren and one daughter-in-law: Debbie Jameson of Weed, NM.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 6:30 pm.
