Louis Alex, 85, 106 Thurston St., widower of Maude Alex, died Tuesday.
Born in Sparta, Greece, he was a retired merchant and attended Augusta Road Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Mack Alex of Greenville; daughters, Helen Durham of Greenville and Mrs. Arnold D. Roberts of Columbia; a stepdaughter, Pearl Gladden of Ft. Worth, Tex.; a stepson, Fred Mathis of Greenville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The body is at Jones Mortuary where the family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The family is at the home of Mack Alex, 19 Seabrook Ct.
