Born on February 27, 1935, in Cherokee County, SC to the late Marion Franklin Owens (1906–1979) and Eunice Russell Harbin Owens (1906–1997); wife of the late Charles Griffin Parker (1923–2001)
Retired from Kings Mountain Hospital and was a Mull's Memorial Baptist Church member.
Survivors include sons, Rick Parker (Anita) and Mark Parker (Susan); daughters, Pam Zinck (Wally) and Melissa Jones (Charlie); five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also preceded in death by a son, Charles G. "Chuck" Parker (1953-2006); grandson, Timothy Brice Parker (1984-2006); brother, Alfred Emmanuel Owens (1928-1971); and a sister, Virginia Owens Anthony (1927–2010).
Visitation was held from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Friday, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.
Graveside service followed at 2:30 pm at Mull's Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Brown, Jr. officiating.
