Husband Jesse died in 1889 or 1890 and Palmyra died in late 1890. Jesse's sister, Lillie Belle Jones and her husband Winfield F. Scott took the three girls and raised them along with their children.

Gravesite Details
Palmyra's grave once had a metal pen fence around it according to a 1986 cemetery survey. All that remains are two concrete blocks that at one time supported the metal fence.
