The daughter of Eliza Bell (later Miller) and wife of James C. Cassilly, Susan resided on 18th Street. She died of uterine cancer at the age of 48, and was interred at St Louis on 10 July 1890.

Note: Several federal census records indicate that Susan was born in 1841, not 1845 as appears on her marker. Her marriage in Louisville on 16 May 1857 appears to further invalidate that date.
