Miss Clara Lavinia Bamberger, of the Marlboro Apartments, died yesterday at Union Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was in her nineties.
She was born in Baltimore, the daughter of the late Elkan and Theresa Hutzler Bamberger.
Beside her interest in philanthropy, art and music, Miss Bamberger was a member of the board of trustees of the Institute for Advanced Study, in Princeton, N.J. The institution was founded by her brother, Louis Bamberger, and her sister, Mrs. Felix Fuld, both of whom predeceased Miss Bamberger.
No immediate members of her family survive her.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. tomorrow at the David Sondheim and Sons Funeral Home, 1902 Eutaw place. Burial will follow in the Har Sinai Cemetery.

Services at Sondheim Home, 1902 Eutaw place on Friday afternoon, July 29 at 2 o'clock. Interment in Har Sinai Cemetery, Erdman avenue. Visiting hours from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M.
