Funeral arrangements for Guy Clifford (G.C.) Scoggin, 62, of Birthright (arranged by West Oaks Funeral Home) were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at First Baptist Church in Hart, Texas with the Rev. Lee Riley from Amarillo officiating.

Mr. Scoggin died because of complications associated with lung cancer on Sunday, July 8, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 21, 1944, in Nashville, Tenn.

He graduated from Hart High School in Texas in 1963.

Mr. Scoggin spent many years traveling the country as an owner/operator truck driver, which gave him many opportunities to photograph nature and wildlife, a hobby he greatly enjoyed.

Survivors include four sons, Guy Scoggin Jr. of Amarillo, Gary Clevenger of Lubbock, Scotty Clevenger of Hart and Yancey ______ of ________; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Jimmy Sanderson of Sulphur Springs.
