Sarah Elizabeth Jones wife of Peter A Jones died Friday Nov 21st 1919 at her home south of Dekalb. Following a long illness. For several weeks a trained nurse had been in attendance. Funeral services were held from the home Sunday afternoon at 2:00. W. F. Allison of Rushville officiating. A very large number of relatives and friends attended the funeral. Mrs. Jones was the daughter of W.C. and Levina Garton. She was the eldest child and born of the home place 1 1/2 miles south of Dekalb. on Dec 27th 1845. She was married Feb 23rd 1862 to Peter Alexander Jones. Of this union 12 children were born.
