FAULKTON - The funeral for Katherine M. Matter, 77, who died Thursday at the J,P. Shirk Memorial Home at Faulkton will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Orient Lutheran Churhc with the Rev. Steve Swenson officiating. Interment will be in the Faulkton Cemetery.

Mrs. Matter was born Sept. 26, 1897 in Plymouth, Neb. She was a longtime resident of the Orient-Faulkton area and had lived in the city of Faulkton since 1941. She married Clarence Matter Sept. 29, 1922 at Canova. Mrs. Matter was a member of Orient Lutheran Church, the ALCW of which she served as treasurer for 25 years, Tuesday Club, VFW Auxiliary and ALA.

Survivors include one son, Warren, Orient; two grandchildren; three brothers, Walter Faulstich, Portland, Ore., Norbert Faulstich, Highmore, and Harvey Faulstich, Orient; two sister, Meta Zemlicka, Albany, Ore., and Golda Maddox, Portland, Ore. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968, one brother and one sister.
