DEATH CLAIMS HOUSTON CITIZEN
Andrew Jackson Freeland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Freeland, was born at Licking, Mo., January 19, 1871, and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ethel Tweed, of Houston, October 6, 1948, age at death 77 years, 8 months and 28 days.
He was married to Anna Morgan January 12, 1896, and to this union four children were born, Ara Belle, who passed away at the age of four, Gladys Carter, also deceased, Ethel and Guy.
Mr. Freeland had lived all of his life near Houston. He joined the Houston Baptist Church in 1946. On the day his good wife was buried he resolved to join the church, which he did, and lived life of a christian until death called him.
Those who survived are his daughter Mrs. Ethel Tweed, Houston, Mo., a son William Guy Freeland, Richland, Washington; nineteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; Three sisters, Mrs. Charley White, Mrs. Will White and Mrs. Jerry Brown, all of Houston. He also had two deceased sisters, Mrs. Ava Davis, Mrs. Sarah Hinkle, two brothers, Jim and John S Freeland, also deceased.
Indeed a good father and brother is gone who will be missed greatly.
Funeral services were held at Oak Hill, Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. L. I. Heriford, pastor of Houston Baptist Church. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Music by Oak Hill Choir.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Oak Hill church by Rev. L. I. Heriford. Burial was at Oak Hill under the direction of Elliotts
