Franklin D. Bingham, age 86 of Sandwich, IL passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Valley West Community Hospital, Sandwich, IL. He was born on October 21, 1932 in Hardin, MO the son of George F. and Ruth (Doss) Bingham.
Franklin was united in marriage on April 26, 1980 to Alwine A. Bode and they spent the next 37 years happily together until her passing on May 4, 2017. He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Sandwich, IL. Mr. Bingham was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was a United States Postal Carrier until his retirement. Franklin was a loving father, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Franklin is survived by his step-children, Jonette (Ed) Jones of Cape Coral, FL, Donna Schreiber of Oswego, IL, Cynthia Hoff of Denver, CO and Edward (Julie) Hoff of Monroe, GA; his five grandchildren; three great-grandsons; his brother, Arthur Wayne Bingham of Orlando, FL; also many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alwine Bingham; his sons, David and Karl Bingham; his son-in-law, Michael Schreiber; his siblings, two sister and 6 brothers.
