Myron Boughton was the son of James Scott Boughton (1798-1865) and Abigail Hoyt (1802-1859). Myron was a school teacher and farmer who was killed in action during the Civil War. He served with the Wisconsin 21st infantry, Company G. Myron married Maria Susanna Partridge, daughter of George Wakeman Partridge (1786-1866) and Mary Elizabeth Horn (1790-1883) on January 1, 1851 in Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. Myron and Maria were the parents of Herbert (1851-1853), Ellen Maria (1853-1928), Clara M. (1855-1933), James Wakeman (1858-1928), and Abigail Elizabeth (1862-1911), who was born two months after her father was killed.
