James, of Beaumont, passed away at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. A native of Iowa he had lived most of his life in Texas and in Beaumont since 1995.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife Melissa Shanley; son James Earl Shanley; daughter Amber Marie Shanley; mother and step dad Mary Lou and Thomas Nelson; sister Charlotte Parham; brothers Belvin Shanley and Joseph Shanley and ten nieces and nephews.
