In 1920 & 1930 Arvin, wife Ida and children can be found in the town of Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas. Ida (Brassfield) Dowell died in 1977 at the age of 97. She is buried in Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas with several of their children.
Update, January 2013. Missing for 80 years, great granddaughter Mary Thurston located Arvin C. Dowell in the 1940 Census. He was residing in Phoenix, Arizona. Arvin Dowell is buried in Greenwood Lawn Memory Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona. His grave is currently unmarked.
