Marguerite Marie Adamitz, 80, of Dallas, died Tuesday at Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Girardville, April 5, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Edward Frank and Therese Rose (Stacavage) Micklus. She was a graduate of Dallas High School and the Empire Beauty School, Wilkes-Barre. She had been employed by Native Textiles. She was a member of St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown, along with its senior citizen’s group and flower club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in 1990; brothers, Leonard and Edward Hopa.
Surviving are sons, Edward, Dallas; and Allen, Shavertown; four grandchildren, Rhonda Williams, Edward Richard III, Christina and Amanda; great-granddaughter Talyia.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 140 N. Main St., Shavertown, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Therese’s Church. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Kingston Township.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
