12/17/1970 - T. Marion (Sonny) PLETCHER, 75, Howard, died at the Veterans Hospital at Altoona, Thursday, Dec 10. He was born June 12, 1895 at Howard, s/o Christian and Silence TAYLOR PLETCHER. He was married to Ester GLENN who died in 1959. Surviving are a son, Robert T. PLETCHER, Altoona, two sisters, Miss Flora PLETCHER, Eau-Galle, Fla; Mrs. Edith ELLIOTT, Merritt Island, Fla; two brothers, Fred V. PLETCHER, Howard and Irvin PLETCHER, Arona. Member of Howard United Church, self-employed and for 40 years hauled milk from area farms to Sheffield Farms. A veteran of World War I, he served 26 months in Europe with the 19th Railway Engineers and played saxophone with the regional headquarters band. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Bellefonte, a life member of the BPOE and a 50 year member of the IOOF of Howard.
