Funeral services were held July 18 at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel for George Decker, 76, of Oceanside, Calif. Burial was at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Decker died July 15 in Oceanside.
He was born Dec. 17, 1895, at the Decker Ranch, north of Bozeman, son of Moses and Harriet Melton Decker.
Decker married [Anna May] Nan Gee in 1936. She preceded him in death in 1969. He then married Daisy Olmstead, a life-long friend, July 10, 1972, in Bozeman.
Decker's family were pioneers in the Gallatin Valley and his uncle Abner was the first white child born in the Gallatin Valley. Decker farmed the same acreage until his retirement and move to California.
Survivors include his wife, Oceanside; two nieces; one nephew and one cousin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clarence; sister, Edna and half-brother, Alfred.
