Know all men by these presents that whereas an injunction will be presented at Campbell October Court to stay the proceedings on two judgements obtained in the said court by Isbell Wooster against me, and whereas it will be requisite that bond and security should be given in case the injunction shall be obtained, Now I, HENRY THURMAN do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint Edward Terrell Senior my true and lawful attorney in fact, hereby authorizing him to sign my name to an injunction bond or any other paper _____ to carry on the injunction aforesaid and do hereby ratify whatever my said attorney shall do in the premises in the same manner as if I were personally present and actually signed the said bond or other instrument of writing. Witness my hand and seal this 25th day of September 1806. HENRY THURMAN
Signed sealed acknowledged and delivered in presence of Thomas Neale, Edward Terrell Senior. At a court held for Campbell county Oct 13th 1806. The written power of attorney was proved by the solemn affirmation of Edward Terrell sr. a witness thereto subscribed and ordered to be recorded.

"Jonathan Denton, formerly of Green Co., Ohio, is indicted because he did unlawfully pass and put off unto William Barnett one dollar of false forged base & counterfeit money...(Record 1, page 36)...Jonathan Boyd, HENRY THURMAN and Benjamin S Miller delivered Jonathan Denton in discharge of their recognisance...prisoner discharged". (Order book 1805-1811, page 63)

1812, Fayette Co., Ohio
A Henry Thurman was listed as "Justice Henry Thurman of Fayette County, Ohio" certified a deed where a couple (William and Agnes Rowe) of Fayette Co., Ohio, sold some land in Louisa Co., VA to a Mathew Sims, also of Louisa Co., VA. Amherst Co VA deed book M page 152 (copied from ThurmanQuest)


April 2, 1910 - Gibson County, Indiana, article in the "Gibson County Star" about Samuel Kirkpatrick and his family, " On January 18, 1821, he was married to Elizabeth Thurman, daughter of HENRY and Sarah Thurman. She was a sister to old Aunt Lucy Gudgel. - There was quite a family of these Thurmans. Besides Mrs. Kirkpatrick and Mrs. Gudgel, there was Nancy, who married Peter LaGrange, and Mary, wife of John Loverton (Leverton); Sarah, wife of Ahura (Ahira) Jones; Caroline, wife of William Buffin (Buffum); John went to Arkansas and Edward went to Illinois."

Son of John and Nancy Bayse Thurman.
