Loving husband of Barbara K. Randau for 55 years and a devoted father to son Charles “Chad” Randau (Lisa).
He also leaves behind sister-in-law Elaine Frank Boughner of Ohio and many cherished colleagues and friends.
Charles (Chuck, Charlie) was born to Ned Walter Randau and Alyce Idona Yankie. He grew up in Huntington Woods and Bloomfield Hills, graduated from Berkley High School and attended Cranbrook (Class of 1957/1958). He graduated from Wayne State University School of Business Administration in 1962 and obtained a Juris Doctor from Wayne State Law School in 1965.
Chuck spent over 50 years as a trial lawyer with most of his tenure at the law firm of Sullivan, Ward, Asher & Patton, P.C.
He will be remembered by many friends, neighbors and brief acquaintances as Chuck was a person who loved to “chat” with all people, whether he knew them or not. He especially loved having dinner with Porsche Club friend Michael Gilson who always described Chuck as a real gentleman. That he was so respected and admired by so many is a great comfort to his family at this time. He will always be in our hearts forever.
From your loving wife:
The Promise
“Across the years I will walk with you-
in deep, green forests; on shores of sand:
and when our time on earth is through,
in heaven, too, you will have my hand.”
