Cora was born on the family farm north of Avon. She graduated from Avon High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to Thorwald (Shorty) Raysby on March 1, 1951. To their unity three children were born: Audrey (Ray) Voigt of Avon, Karl (Sandy) Raysby of Tyndall, and Keith (Candy) Raysby of Norfolk, NE.
Cora and Shorty farmed West of Avon before moving to their home place north of Avon in 1962. Cora worked for many years at CR Industries in Springfield, SD, before retiring in 1995 to the farm.
She enjoyed watching her family blossom and grow. She also enjoyed the many family vacations her and Shorty took. Watching the Minnesota Twins was one of her many passions. Cora was a lifelong member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church and was always a devout Christian.
Cora was preceded in death by her husband Shorty, parents Alex and Rosa Hubner; her mother and father-in-law Paul and Louise Raysby; brothers Calvin and Russell; sister Lois and her husband Julius Schaefer; infant sister Roda; brothers-in-law Gordon, Lawrence, and Noel Raysby; sisters-in-law Mary and Darlene Raysby, Margaret and Vivian Hubner; and son-in-law Ray Voigt.
She will be greatly missed by her children, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
