Gladys Marie Miller, 86 of Westville passed away Friday, May 27, 2005 at the VNA Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. A lifelong resident, Gladys was born on June 1, 1918 in Wanatah, Indiana to Walter Edward and Grace (Baum) Fleming. She was a homemaker and also a seamstress, working at the Willows Rehabilitation Center for 10 years. On June 11, 1939 in Valparaiso, Gladys married Otto Wesley Miller who preceded her in death in 1971. She is survived by two children: Jean (Robert, Sr.) Huber of Westville and Robert (Laurie) Miller of Valparaiso; seven grandchildren: Robert (Mary) Huber, Jr., Audrey Huber, Kimberly (Kevin) Baker, Veronica (Larry) Alumbaugh, Donalea (Jim) Wireman, Kristina (Glenn, Sr.) Handzlik, and Matthew Miller; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Glenn Fleming of LaPorte; five sisters: Marjorie Sears of Elkhorn, WI, Pauline Webber of Valparaiso, Betty "Lorraine" Murvihille of Valparaiso, Shirley Johnson of Valparaiso, and Judith Pelham of Milford, IL. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters: Dorothy Ludington and Bonnie Masson; and brother, Marion Fleming. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2005 at 2:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso with Pastor Allen Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 - 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
