Larry Conrad Thompson departed this world on angel’s wings on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at 2:23 a.m. in Floresville, Texas. Larry was born June 9, 1949, to Van C. and Viola Thompson.
Larry worked in construction for 45 years, during which time he excelled in numerous crafts, and maintained the safety of his crew under the most hazardous conditions. He enjoyed playing Skip- Bo, softball, bowling, playing pool, and playing horseshoes competitively. Larry accepted Christ as his Savior in his later years and has entered the kingdom of heaven. He was a loving husband, and a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed and loved forever, said his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Van C. Thompson; his grandson, Jonathan Isbell; and his great-granddaughter, Chelsea Guignard.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 47 years and 9 months, Lillian Thompson; his five children, Sharon Parker, Treasa Thompson [Isbell], David Thompson, Christopher L. Thompson, and Laura [Carryn] Godfrey; his mother, Viola Barker; his sisters, Karen Thompson and Susan Thompson; his brothers, Chuck Thompson and Robert Barker; his grandchildren, Melissa Coronado, Robert Escobedo, Lidia Herrera, Robert Isbell, Samantha Jones, Rebeka Rojas, Carl Jamison Jr., Christopher B. Thompson, Rylee Isbell, Dakota Godfrey, Robert Guignard, Cheyenne Hargraves, Joshua Gonzales, Cayden Thompson, Nevaeh Thompson, and Tristan Godfrey; his great-grandchildren, Ashley, Alexa, Alejandra, Analissa, Michelle, JD, Bobby, Prissy, Christopher, Omar Jr., Alena, Catlina, Mickey, Abigail, Katie, Zebian, Joel, Victor, Isis, Lily, Karra, Jheromy, Chloe, Charlie, Kai, Leo, Deron, and Joshua; great-great-grandchildren Kayla, Ella, Eevee, and Kimmy; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 4 p.m. at 750 Terrace Hill Lane in Floresville.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 6 p.m. at 750 Terrace Hill Lane in Floresville.
