It is with great sadness that the family of Alfred Audie Shirley, Sr., age 63, announce his passing on September 26, 2019. Audie was born on October 23, 1955 to David Shirley, Sr. and Bertha Dean in Wabash, Indiana. He spent most of his life in Des Arc where he was a farmhand for the Calhoun family for almost 20 years. Later he moved to Cabot where he worked for J&J Metal for 12 years until he became a truck driver. Audie loved spending time with his boys and grandsons. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on cars and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Audie, Jr. and wife Maria and David and wife Carmen. He was best known as Popaw to his four grandsons, Lil David, Gavin, Izak and Levi. He is also survived by his sisters and best friend, Brenda Treadwell, Martha (Rick) Brooke and Bernice (Brooks) Curtis and two brothers, Charlie and Robert Shirley. He is preceded in death by his father, David Shirley, Sr. and mother, Bertha Dean, one sister, Anna Lee and one brother, David Shirley.
