Arlin Redmann, age 88, of the Town of Belle Plaine, died Friday, March 16, 2012. Born on October 14, 1923 in the Town of Belle Plaine, he is the son of the late Edward and Anna (Kersten) Redmann. On May 26, 1951, Arlin was united in marriage to Elda Tamm. He owned and operated his own dairy farm most of his life and was on the Shawano Equity Board for 3 years. Arlin was a 4-H leader, a lifelong supporter of the Shawano County Fair and one of the original instructors in Shawano County for the Hunter Safety Course. Arlin was a dedicated husband, loving father, avid gardener and passionate flower grower. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Shawano. He is survived by: his wife, Elda of Shawano; 4 children, Linda (husband, James), Randy, Steven (Diane), Peg; 10 grandchildren, John "Alex", Christopher, Kersten, Amanda (Kyle), Erica, Michael (special friend, Lindsey), Maggie, Christian, Sarah; great-grandson, Dominick; 2 sisters, Rosemund (Robert) and Norma (Jerome); 3 sisters-in-law, Bernice, Shirley and Marcella. Arlin is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Shawano.
