Jamie Ragsdale Dean, 83, of Victoria, died Friday, July 31, 1998.
She graduated from St. Mary's Hall in 1932 and attended Holton Arms School, Washington, D.C. and graduated from University of Texas.
She was born July 7, 1915, in Cuero, to the late James William and Sallie McCutcheon Ragsdale. She was a charter member of the Victoria Junior Service League, Bronte Club of Victoria, Daughters of the Founders and Patriots of America, Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors: daughters, Sallie Dean of Vail, Colorado, and Jessie C. Dean of Victoria.
Preceded in death by: husband, Sidney J. Dean; and sisters, Sue R. McCan and Sarah R. Batot.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Larry Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Colonial Funeral Home, Victoria, 361-578-3535.
