Oneita Marie Benningfield, 96, of Jacksonville, Texas went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, September 19, 2019. She was born April 28, 1923 in Nevada, Texas to Lloyd and Lillian Jones. She was one of ten children.

For fifty-seven years, she was the wife of BMA minister Wilbur Benningfield, who pastored several churches and served as dean at BMA Seminary for many years. Nita was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She lived in various places but spent most of her adult life in Dallas and Jacksonville, Texas. She worked in various office jobs before becoming a full time pastor's wife. She loved serving the Lord, studying the bible and spending time with her family. She had a deep faith and spent much time in prayer for those in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.

Survivors: husband, Wilbur Benningfield of Jacksonville, TX; sister, Linda Saling (Larry) of Kaufman, TX; six children, Jerry Lovelace (Danna) of South Lake, TX, Don Lovelace (Patty) of Denton, TX, Sandra Wilbanks (Darrel) of Carrollton, TX, Connie Harmon (Larry) of Tyler, TX, Belinda Burks (Kevin) of Rowlett, TX and Greta Aston of Quinlan, TX; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her joyous presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Many lives were touched by hers.

Funeral services were held September 23, 2019 at First Baptist Church. Interment was at Resthaven Cemetery.
