Pulaski Aug 8 - Morris Tryon, one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of this town, passed away yesterday morning at the home of his son, Wellington M. Tryon, two miles northwest of this village. The deceased was born in the town of Richland and passed his lifetime in the town, for many years being extensively engaged in farming. He was about 84 years old, and leaves a wide circle of friends. Mr. Tryon had been ill about six weeks. He leaves three sons, Clarence R. Tryon and Wellington M. Tryon, of Pulaski, and Delos Tryon of Weedsport; also a daughter, Mrs. Wesley M. Hollis of Millbrook, Ill.

The funeral services will be held at the home of Wellington M. Tryon at 10 am tomrrow and burial will be made at Pulaski Cemetery.

Morris Tryon was the son of Levi Tryon 1785 and Mary Hannah Bartholomew. Levi was one of the first settlers in the Port Ontario area. His farm was called the "Rainbow Shores", on the lakeshore north of Port Ontario.

Morris married Martha A. Carr, daughter of Richard and Laura Carr. on December 17, 1848, in Richland.
