Funeral services for Lawrence Hugh Adams and his wife, Edna Melissa Cashon Adams, were held in Parks Heights Church of Christ Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 2 p.m. with Ministers Herman Beauchamp and Paul Rogers officiating. Burial was in the Hico Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Adams died as the result of an automobile accident north of Austin Aug. 23.

Mrs. Adams, the daughter of the late James Cashon and Minnie White Cashon, was born in Hico March 12, 1906. Most of her adult life had been spent in Hamilton where she was a member of the Park Heights Church of Christ. She was married to Lawrence Hugh Adams Dec. 21, 1927. [They were married Dec. 21, 1929, see Hamilton County Marriage records, Vol.9, Pg 241.]

Mr. Adams was the son of Levi Adams and Eunice Harris Adams, and was born in Carlton May 3, 1906. He was a retired employee of the Highway Maintenance Department. He also was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frances Latham of Austin; a son, James A. Adams of Arlington; four grandchildren; Mrs. Adams' sister, Mrs. Herschel Richardson of Fairy; Mr. Adams' sisters, Mrs. Raymond Lowe of Hico and Mrs. David Wilson of Waxahachie; and Mr. Adams' brothers, Clyde Adams of Dublin and Raymond Adams of Tivola.

Pallbearers were Delton McClane, Billy Cole, Bud Johnson, Leo Sims, Vernon Thompson, Dude Howerton, Pete Cozby, Vernon O'Bannon, J. T. Pointer, Chan Hamrick, Les Hamilton, Tom Pitts, J. W. Griffee, W. C. Carr, W. W. Young, and Otis Sumerford.
