NOVEMBER 18, 1937 ~ AUGUST 17, 2019 (AGE 81)

On Saturday, August 17, 2019, Glen Eugene Anderson, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 81.

Glen was born in Burley, Idaho to Glenn O and Ruby G (Frost) Anderson on Nov 18, 1937. He was the second of 12 children.
He married his sweetheart, Linda Ann Reedy on July 17, 1959 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Into that eternal union was born 3 children. Morgan, he was in a hurry to arrive in this world and also a hurry to leave, he passed away 3 days after his birth.

He learned to work at a young age for his own spending money, doing various jobs for the farmers in the area. In his teen years, during the summers, he worked picking rock for farmers and fighting fires. As an adult he worked at Simplot’s briefly and then Ore-Ida for 44 years keeping their machines in good working order.

Glen loved the outdoors, you could find him outside working in his yard or in the mountains enjoying nature or fishing by a stream or hunting to keep the freezer stocked. He loved to sing and taught himself how to play the harmonica and the Native American flute. He had a passion for the scouting program and could be found teaching boys and leaders outdoors skills. He shared all these passions with his sweetheart, they were always together. They earned their Silver Beaver Award side by side.

Glen was proceeded in death by his son, Morgan, his parents Glenn and Ruby, his brothers, Darwin and DeWayne (Elaine). Also a sister, LaNita (Neal) Hansen. Twin grandsons, Morgon and Jordon.

Glen is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Reedy) Anderson. Son, La Anderson, daughter, Donna (Brent) and an honorary daughter Cathy. His grandchildren, his great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, D (P), C (G), K (J), S (A) and D (L). His Sisters, Glenda (Lynn), N Anderson and Janet (Terry), and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 22, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints at 530 Villa Drive in Heyburn, Idaho. Viewing for family and friends will be held for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at the Rupert Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
