Alice Adella Bilyeu, 83, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 22, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday 25, 2019 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater, OK. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born August 25, 1936 to Jesse and Elsie “Irene” (Penny) Redburn at the home in Stillwater, Oklahoma and was the youngest of five girls. She grew up on Lowry Street and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1954. Alice went onto Nurses Training at St. John’s in Tulsa and graduated in 1957. She met the love of her life, Lowell D. Bilyeu on a blind date in Stillwater and they married shortly after on April 19th, 1958 at Perrin AFB in Texas.

Alice was a loving mother to her four daughters, Dana, Karen, Carol, and Leslie. Alice was proud to be an Officer’s wife while Lowell served over two decades in the USAF. Alice’s calling was nursing and she worked for many years as a Nurse’s Aide in Novato and Santa Rosa, California.
After her retirement in 1989, Alice and Lowell moved from Rohnert Park, California to Stillwater to be closer to family and enjoy the slower paced, retired life. Alice loved to quilt, sew, and cross stitch. She also loved getting together with the ladies in her HCE club and found their friendship to be invaluable over the years.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three of her sisters, Ruth Peaden, Pat Mott, and Charlene Mott.

She is survived by her sister, Ardyth DuPree; daughters, Dana Bilyeu, Karen Hopkins, Carol Bilyeu, Leslie (Eddy) Dady; grandchildren, Matt Bilyeu, Audrey Bilyeu, Jennifer (Justin) Williams, Pamela Walsh, Michelle Hopkins, Ashley Bilyeu, Brian Bilyeu, and Alyssa Dady; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Cannon, Evelyn, Emry, Landry, and Nicole.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Bilyeu, Eddy Dady, John Peaden, Justin Williams, Daryl Mott, and Jack Keeling. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Bilyeu, Jess DuPree and Craig Wolfe.

We would like to thank Karman Legacy Hospice for taking such good care of Alice in her final days.
