Born in Huntsville to James and Clara Petersen, He lived a full and long life. He grew up working on the family farm; joined the Marine Corps December 11, 1943 and discharged October 26, 1945, stationed in Midway. Started logging in Boise Idaho where he met and married Nora Dugger. He retired from the Utah State Road Commission. Also he had a construction business on the side. After mom died he love sitting on the porch watching the cars go and waiting for someone to come see him. They had 5 children, James, Marie, Russell, Ray, and Harold. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his siblings, Larine, Carl, and Chris, and his sons James and Harold, and his daughter-in-law Jennie Petersen. He is survived by his daughter Marie (Doug) Higgins, Russell Petersen, Ray Petersen, and 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great gradaughter.
We'd like to thank Alfa Hospice for all they did for Dad and the family would like to thank everyone for their help through all the years.
Grave side services at Huntsville Cemetery: 2:00 p.m. Oct 1, 2018.
Dedication of the grave will be given by Marlin Jensen with Military funeral honors.
