Services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Reiser Funeral Home, Aledo, for Mrs. C. F. Adams, 71, of 912 West Fourth street, Aledo, who died at 2 p. m. Thursday at Mercer County hospital, following a several years illness. Burial will be at the Eliza Creek cemetery.


The former Clara Pearl Nelson, she was born Aug. 8, 1886, in Eliza township, the daughter of Gust and Christine Anderson Nelson. She was reared and educated in Eliza township. Her marriage to Mr. Adams took place Sept. 14, 1905, at the home of her parents. After farming in Duncan township for several years, Mr. and Mrs. Adams moved to Millersburg and then to Aledo 14 years ago.


Mrs. Adams was a member of the Baptist church at Aledo and was a charter member of the Home Bureau. She also was a member of the Ladies Aid at Pomeroy church and was a former president of the Service guild at the Millersburg Presbyterian church.


She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Maurice Beeding, Muscatine, Mrs. Ernest Sheese, Joy, and Mrs. Bert Gritton, Lynn Center, Ill.; three sons, Herbert Adams, Aledo, Marvin Adams, Orion, Ill., and Richard Adams, Coal Valley, Ill.; 25 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by two sons, Victor and Francis, one grandchild and six brothers.
