Aledo - Charles F. Adams, 82, of Aledo, died Sunday morning at the Mercer county hospital where he had been a patient several weeks. He had been in failing health the past five years.

Mr. Adams was born Sept. 25, 1880, at Petersville, the son of S. N. and Martha Welsh Adams.

He was married Sept. 14, 1905, at Eliza Township, to Clara Nelson. They farmed in Duncan Township several years, and then at Millersburg. Mr. Adams had lived at Aledo the past 19 years.

He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints; and a charter member of the Farm Bureau.

Surviving are three sons, Herbert of Aledo, Marvin of Orion and Richard of Coal Valley; three daughters, Mrs. Maurice Beeding of Muscatine, Mrs. Edward Sheese of Joy and Mrs. Bert Gritton of Lynn Center; five brothers, two sisters, 25 grandchildren, and 39 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife on Oct. 17, 1957; two sons, three sisters, one grandchild, and two great grandchildren.

The body is now at the Reiser funeral home, where friends may call this evening. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Reiser funeral home. Interment will be at Eliza Creek.

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Charles F. Adams, 82, of Aledo, a retired farmer, who died Sunday, Dec. 2, 1962at the Mercer County hospital in Aledo. He had been a patient for several weeks and had been in failing health for five years.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. at the Reiser Chapel in Aledo with the Rev. Jack Brown, pastor of the Aledo Baptist church, officiating. Burial was in the Eliza Creek cemetery.

Mr. Adams was born Sept. 25, 1880, in Petersville, Ill., a son of S. N. and Martha Welsh Adams. He attended rural schools in that area and was graduated from the Aledo High school.

He married Clara Pearl Nelson on Sept. 14, 1905, in Eliza township. The couple farmed for several years in Duncan township and lived in Millersburg before moving to Aledo 19 years ago. Mrs. Adams died Oct. 17, 1957.

Mr. Adams was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints, and was a charter member of the Mercer County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Maurice Beeding of Muscatine, Mrs. Ernest Sheese of Joy, and Bert Gritton of Lynn Center; three sons, Herbert Adams of Aledo, Marvin Adams of Aledo and Richard Adams of Coal Valley; 25 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Victor of Colorado Springs, T. E. Adams of Grinnell, Iowa, Ralph of Holis, Mo., Rupert of Downers Grove and Lester of Washington D.C.; and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Evans of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Hass of Rolls.

He was preceded in death by two sons, a grandchild, two great-grandchildren and three sisters.
